Bulgaria can catch up with the EU after 24 years

The income gap between the old and the new EU member states has been steadily decreasing over the past two decades, with even severe crises slowing down the trend, but not turning it back. If they keep their current growth rates, in just over two decades all new Member States will exceed 90% of the average GDP per capita in the EU.
